Dr. Heather Ross graduated from Acadia University with a Bachelor of Kinesiology degree in 2009. During this time she served as the strength and conditioning coach and played for the Varsity Womens Volleybal team. After her undergraduate degree she went on to work as a Certified Exercise Physiologist at the Extended Warranty II Valley Cardiac Rehab Centre in Kentville, NS. After this she went on to pursue her Doctorate of Chiropractic degree and graduated with Cum Laude and Clinic Honours at the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College. In addition to co-owning Seaside Chiropractic, Dr. Ross has been a faculty member of the Canadian College of Massage & Hydrotherapy since 2018, teaching Therapeutic Exercise. Dr. Ross’s focus of Chiropractic treatments is of musculoskeletal injuries including but not limited to sports injuries, repetitive strain injuries, occupational injuries, pediatrics and prenatal/postnatal conditions. She has a special interest in pre/postnatal care and offers individualized treatments and rehabilitation programs for these women. She is a qualified BIRTHFIT Professional, Hypopressive Certified Instructor and Certified Exercise Physiologist (CEP-CSEP). She is certified in both Active Release Techniques® (ART®) and Webster Technique. She uses a combination of treatments including manual therapy, ART®, instrument assisted soft tissue therapy, gait analysis, rehabilitation and exercise prescription in order to achieve optimal outcomes for her patients.
Dr. Ross resides in her hometown of Halifax with her husband Dr. Schneider and their son Jack. During her free time she can be found competing in triathlons, hiking with her dog, playing basketball, golfing, traveling the world and spending time with family and friends.
