Dr. Heather Ross graduated from Acadia University with a Bachelor of Kinesiology degree in 2009. During this time she served as the strength and conditioning coach and played for the Varsity Womens Volleybal team. After her undergraduate degree she went on to work as a Certified Exercise Physiologist at the Extended Warranty II Valley Cardiac Rehab Centre in Kentville, NS. After this she went on to pursue her Doctorate of Chiropractic degree and graduated with Cum Laude and Clinic Honours at the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College. In addition to co-owning Seaside Chiropractic, Dr. Ross is a career Firefighter with Halifax Regional Fire and Emergency. Dr. Ross’s focus of Chiropractic treatments is of musculoskeletal injuries including but not limited to sports injuries, repetitive strain injuries, occupational injuries, pediatrics and prenatal/postnatal conditions. She has a special interest in pre/postnatal care and offers individualized treatments and rehabilitation programs for these women. She is a Certified Exercise Physiologist (CEP-CSEP) and certified in both Active Release Techniques® (ART®) and Webster Technique. She uses a combination of treatments including manual therapy, ART®, instrument assisted soft tissue therapy, rehabilitation and exercise prescription in order to achieve optimal outcomes for her patients.
When you can’t find her in the clinic or at the fire station she can be found mountain biking with her dog Rudy, competing in triathlons, traveling, and spending time with her husband Alan and son Jack.
